Burmese Migrants Faces More Charges

Dear friend

Please take action on this important case.

Andy Hall is a researcher who defends the rights of migrants in Thailand,
including migrants from Burma. He faces jail in Thailand for trying to
protect the rights of migrant workers.

This case is not just about Andy Hall. It is about companies trying to
intimidate anyone who stands up for migrant workers rights in Burma. It is
about companies wanting to continue to exploit migrant workers from Burma
and other countries so that they can make bigger profits. It is part of a
global trend of companies trying to use the courts to stop campaigners who
highlight their misbehaviour. This case must be stopped.

Earlier this year he was involved in exposing how a factory in Thailand was
committing human rights abuses against migrant workers in its factory.
Abuses included child labour, workers being beaten, having documents
confiscated, being paid illegally low wages and facing dangerous working

Instead of the company taking action to stop these abuses, it has launched
legal cases for defamation against Andy Hall. If convicted, he could face
more than seven years in jail and a fine of more than six million pounds.

Now the company is filing more charges against him, and Thai police tried to
get him to sign a false confession.

It will only take you a few moments to send an email to the company
demanding they drop these charges. If Andy Hall is convicted, it will be a
major threat to anyone trying to promote the rights of migrant workers.

Take Action Now!

Email the Natural Fruit Company demanding that they drop the charges now,
and improve workers conditions.

You can take action here. <>

Thank you.
